Bright Beginnings

ages 6 weeks - 24 months

Infants and toddlers

Our infant classroom is the home for our newborn to 24 month old friends. We carefully designed this space to be a cozy, warm, peaceful, and nurturing environment. Infants absorb everything around them, they are constantly learning and observing the world and developing on social, emotional, and cognitive levels. It is important that our infants not only have their physical and psychological needs met but that they do so in a home-like environment filled with love, care and patience.

In order to provide positive circumstances for all of our infant friends to thrive, we observe natural schedules. We allow our infants to eat when they are hungry, nap when they are sleepy, and explore when they are eager for adventure. We also are sure to use real language by speaking softly and properly while reading books, listening to rhymes, and conversing with the children.

Movement is an equally important area of learning for our infants. During this time our friends will be strengthening muscles and developing gross motor skills. We provide many opportunities for movement while they explore the world of movement and learn new skills like rolling over, sitting, scooting, crawling, and walking. We provide soft furniture and plenty of time and patience as our infants explore their blossoming curiosities.

Overall, we aim to provide a feeling of safety in a safe and clean environment with attentive and nurturing caregivers. We open our space and our hearts to allow our infants to explore, discover, learn, and grow together with hopes of helping them to be ready for their next steps in this world.

Room to Bloom

ages 2- early 3

young preschool

Our older toddler program is a space for our friends between the ages of 2 and early 3. This program separates the older toddlers from the infants and tots, giving them more engaged learning time. The ratios in this classroom provide more one on one with the teacher for the 3 year old that may not be ready for a larger class size. This environment is one that is rich with active play and consistent routines which support independence as well as develop language and social skills. In this nurturing space we also allow for safe and challenging experiences that help to grow their gross and fine motor skills. Our educated and trained caregivers will guide your toddler as they accomplish large and small developmental milestones.

It is at this age that our toddlers have some of their first experiences with intelligence, memory, will, independence, language, and movement. We are sure to support their curiosity with real life activities that will teach them to navigate the world around them such as pouring, measuring, cleaning up messes, communicating needs and desires, and of course, potty training, to name a few.

This is also the time that our toddlers will learn new ideas that will prepare them for pre-school such as shapes, colors, letters, and numbers. Alongside these tangible lessons we reasoning, persistence, and recognizing patterns are also important skills that we encourage in your ever-evolving little one.

In a very short amount of time you will see your little baby grow into a competent and independent young child. We aim to create an environment that supports their movement, exploration, growing, and learning with love and respect.
